August Competition

Well, as promised, I'm going to have a little competition to win one of my 1" cuffs.  All you have to do is tell me what sort of pattern/theme you would like to see as a cuff and I will then design and make it for you.  Obviously it can't be anything too detailed as I only have a 12/13 beads wide strip to work with but other than that anything goes! :oD

Just leave me a comment with your suggestion/s and I'll see what I can come up with.  You've got till August 15th to get them in and I will then pick a winner at random and get it stitched and sent out before the end of August.

Here are a few more of mine:

Moroccan Cuff

Floral Cuff 2

Autumn Flowers Cuff

Leopard Print Cuff

Have fun deciding!

  1. Oooh what a great giveaway!
The design possibilites are endless ... would love to have one with a polkadot design, nice well sized black polkadots on a white backgorund (so it matches my blog!) *lol*

  2. Poppies! I love poppies! Maybe because you only have a narrow strip to work with you could just make random poppy petals on a green background?

    Another idea is ivy leaves?

  5. I love the yellow floral one that you have already done, but could you get a watch in the middle of it??

  6. How about something inspired by the textile designs of Henry Moore? He was famous for abstract sculptures, but I drool over his sketches and textile work. Even bought a purse at the Tate Britain.

  8. Something celtic for me, a nice slender knotwork, with the fuller edges perhaps showing a little proud of the main cuff like you did with the flower one you haven't shown here which I thought was absolutely delicious! :D

  11. Funy you should mention a watch, Flossy - I'd thought about that the other day but don't have any watch faces atm to try it with. Will have to order some more. :o)

Hmmm, Henry Moore and Celtic knotwork will require a little bit of research but I'll have a look - and Lesley, the flower cuff you mentioned was in my previous post. ;o)

I did have a thought of a purple and teal peacock-ish type thing, Danielle. I already have leopard print so could easily change the colours on that one. :o)

The black cat might have to go on a wider cuff, Helen. Not sure it'd fit into a 12 bead wide one but I shall try it and see. :o)

  14. You could do less serious designs like pacman or space invaders or nautical theme with anchors, shipwheels and those lifesaver ring things...

I think I would personally likes a floral one but based on bright 70s fabric!

My idea would be a christian name (mine would obviously be Barbara or Babs) and a personal choice of colour would be purple.

Another thought would be black cats on a white background.
